LINDON CARES is a colation guided by the Communities That Care framework. CTC is a proven community change process that h elps prevent problems before they start.
​
This is an exciting opportunity to effect real change by supporting youth, strengthening families, and influencing policy at a community-wide level within our city and in partnership with local leaders.
WHAT WE DO
​

​Conduct an assessment of problem behaviors among youth in Lindon and community resources available to address them

Design a 3-5 year Community Action Plan and evaluation plan to effect change measure progress

Work with community members, faith leaders, schools, and government officials to educate, empower, and encourage prevention work

Educate the community about the coalition's work

Involve youth in the coalition's activities

Coalition members meet 1-2 times per month to participiate in trainings and workgroups that align with their interests

Willing hands matter more than skills. However, some of the roles we are specifically looking for are people who like working with data, managing finances, working with youth, managing social media or leading teams.

Connection is the best Prevention. Communities, schools, families, and individuals all play an important role in creating connectedness and safety.
We work to decrease the risk factors and increase protective factors of addiction, abuse, and suicide by collecting local data and implementing evidence-based initiatives and outcome-focused plans through education, outreach and information.
