LINDON REC CLASSES
Lindon Parks and Recreation provides youth sports and a great range of youth classes. We strive to offer a wide variety of activities for kids to explore and enjoy. We are always open to new program ideas. Please reach out and pitch us your idea!
Lindon Recreation Parents, Players, Spectators & Participants Code of Ethics
Ski & Snowboard Lessons
This new discounted ski/snowboard class will be held at Sundance Resort and is open to all ages 8 years and older, any skill level. Classes will be held on Monday's - Jan 6, 13, 27, and Feb 3. All participants must provide their own equipment and get themselves to the resort by 4 PM on lesson days. Instruction time will be from 4:30-6:30 PM with free time from 6:30-9:00 PM. Please note there will be no lesson on Monday, Jan 20 for the holiday. ​​

Fee includes lift pass for lesson dates and four ski sessions with a Sundance Resort instructor. There will be discounted lift passes for parents who want to join their child on the mountain during and after instruction.
Cost for this program is $430 for non-pass holders and $320 for those with a Sundance season pass. Please contact Alan Walker if you have further questions by emailing awalker@lindon.gov or calling 801-769-8625.

CHESS CLUB
The Lindon Community Chess Club will be held every Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Lindon Community Center and is FREE! There will be an hour of instruction and two hours of game play. First time? No problem! Come learn how to play chess or improve your skill with others. All ages are welcome. Bring your friends and come enjoy and evening of chess!

Return to Recess
This fun-filled class is all about laughter, teamwork, and making new friends. There is a place for everyone in our recess revival class. Have your kids grab their sneakers and get ready for a blast! We will be playing different sports games each week, Basketball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, and Kickball, and many more.​

Nerf Battles
Have your children gear up for action-packed fun at our kids Nerf Battle Class! Join us for epic dart blasting adventures where strategy and excitement collide. We'll provide all the darts and some blasters, but feel free to bring your own favorite Nerf gear to show off your unique style. Engage in thrilling team battles, test your aim in target challenges, and experience the ultimate in Nerf excitement. Perfect for newbies and seasons blasters alike. This class promises high energy fun and friendly competition. Get ready to lock and load for the most exciting playtime ever!​​

Kids Theater (Christmas Edition)
Have your child step in the spotlight with our Christmas Edition Theater class! This is perfect for budding stars and enthusiastic performers. Join us for a dazzling holiday experience where every child can shine bright like the star atop the tree!​

Christmas Baking
Do you want your kids to do all the holiday baking but you really don’t want the mess in your kitchen? This class is specifically for you! Sign your child up for this super fun Christmas Dessert Decorating class. Participants will have a blast decorating a different Christmas dessert each class. Goodies will be sent home with the participant each week!​​

Winter Wonderland Painting
Sign your kiddo up for our Winter Wonderland Painting Workshop. Each day we will complete a new winter and holiday painting! Send your child in clothes they can get paint on! Classes will be held at the Lindon Community Center.

Christmas Crafts
Send your kids to our Christmas Crafts class this winter. Each week we will make and take home a different Christmas craft including ornaments, gift wrapping ideas, and more. Participants will use their creativity and imagination to make each craft their own. All supplies are provided and included.

STRENGTHEN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
FREE WORKSHOP
Guiding Good Choices gives families information and tools that work to protect preteens and teens from the inevitable risks they encounter as they become more independent. Just as important, families will learn ways to build or maintain lasting relationships, because teenagers who are more closely connected to their families have better health and educational outcomes.

In five sessions, parents and caregivers learn specific actions that promote healthy development and reduce risky behavior in the teen years. Home practice and weekly family meetings build connections and help families apply skills in real life. Guiding Good Choices emphasizes strong family bonds that motivates preteens to follow guidelines and stay on a course toward better health and educational outcomes as teenagers.

Practicing Your Growth Mindset
This class will provide therapeutic activities with peers in self-expression. healthy thinking, gratitude, learning from failure, resilience, and adaptability.
​
Recreational Therapy: A Certified Recreational Therapist Specialist (CTRS) will teach this class. Using evidence based practice, participants will learn to implement coping skills to use daily when feeling overwhelmed, find connection and trust in relationships, and explore meaningful ways to spend time.
