Lindon Parks and Recreation provides youth sports and a great range of youth classes. We strive to offer a wide variety of activities for kids to explore and enjoy. We are always open to new program ideas. Please reach out and pitch us your idea!

SNAPOLOGY CLASSES

Snapology is a program that puts on science, technology, engineering, art, and math classes for kids! They are coming to the Lindon Community Center this winter. If your child loves Lego's then this is these are the perfect classes for them! In one class, we will learn to design and build amazing planes, trains and automobiles! In the other we will learn to engineer and create our very own amusement parks! Sign your child up today!​

KIDS CRAFT CLUB

Send your kiddos to our Kids Craft Club this winter! Participants will create and take home a new craft each week! We will create crafts from origami, jewelry, puzzles, and anything in between!

BABYSITTER WORKSHOP

Believe it or not, your child is growing up! Babysitting is a great way for young people to learn valuable skills and make their own money. This class is designed to help new and/or younger babysitters feel more capable and confident. We will cover the basics of safety and first aid, learn child guidance techniques, discuss how to maturely interact with parents and make their child's experience great. Participants will walk away with a babysitting bag full of fun activities, as well as a folder of handouts from our class discussions. ​

HARRY POTTER HOGWARTS EXPERIENCE

Do you have a child who wants to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? During each day of this class, your child will get to experience a course from the famous school of magic! We'll create wands and duel each other, learn about magical plants, and even get a chance to be sorted by the sorting hat! Sign up for a one of a kind, magical experience!

NAILED IT

Do you love the hit show Nailed It!? This is a great chance for your kiddo to try their hand at a variety of ways to 'Nail' their own creativity. We will have a great time learning new ways to paint, decorate treats, sculpt and more! All in an attempt to 'Nail' our ability to recreate a work of art. Kids can work in teams or on their own to recreate their own masterpiece each week.

Teen/Adolescent
Coping Skills

Mental Health Crisis: There's no question recent events taught us that we all need healthy outlets to manage stress. We all recognize the urgent need for teens to find solutions to regulate emotional needs. This class offers practical and effective coping strategies. 

Recreational Therapy: A Certified Recreational Therapist Specialist (CTRS) will teach this class. Using evidence based practice, participants will learn to implement coping skills to use daily when feeling overwhelmed, find connection and trust in relationships, and explore meaningful ways to spend time.

The Teen/Adolescent Coping Sills course is a 4-week course run by a Certified Recreational Therapist Specialist (CTRS).  Teens ages 12-14 meet from 5:00-6:00 PM and adolescents ages 15-18 meet from 6:15-7:15 PM at the Lindon Community Center.

SPRING FASHION DESIGN

Join Lindon's Spring Fashion Design class. Kids will have the opportunity to use their creativity to design clothing items and accessories out of paper. Each week we will focus on different attire such as evening wear, loungewear, and activewear for boys and girls!
